Connecting a network management station to the switch

Connect a network management station to the management port for
out-of-band management of the switch.
The management port on the CPU modules is a 10/100 Mb/s Ethernet port
implemented on an RJ-45 connector wired as an MDI connection. You
can use this port to connect the switch to a network management station
for out-of-band management of the switch using a Web browser or Device
Manager.
The port has its own IP address but does not switch traffic to other ports in
the chassis.
