The USB flash drive is now bootable with the QR image.

To boot a server from the USB flash drive containing the QR image:
a.
Insert the USB flash drive containing the QR image into the server.
b.
Press F1 1 to select the boot device.
c.
Click option 3 for the USB flash drive, and proceed with the quick restore process.

(HP IBRIX X9720 cluster nodes only) If default OA and VC credentials are not being used,
you must manually initialize the credential manager immediately after exiting from the
QR Restore process. For steps on how to manually initialize the credential manager (see

Preparing for the recovery

If a NIC monitor is configured on the user network, remove the monitor. To determine if NIC
monitoring is configured, run the following command:
ibrix_nic -i -h <hostname>
Check the output for a line such as the following:
Monitored By : titan16
To remove the monitor, use the following command:
ibrix_nic -m -h MONITORHOST -D DESTHOST/IFNAME
For example:
ibrix_nic -m -h titan16 -D titan15/eth2
Restoring StoreAll OS Software on a 9730 or X9720 node with custom
credentials
If you are restoring a 9730 or X9720 node with StoreAll OS 6.1 or later, the restore process will
not work properly if you are using management IP addresses and credentials that are not the
factory defaults. To resolve this issue:
NOTE:
These instructions apply to each node in a cluster individually. Therefore, you must perform
these instructions on each node in the cluster to update the entire cluster. The commands only
change the passwords on the node itself and do not change the passwords on the remote hardware
(such as the MSA or Onboard Administrator).
Procedure 1
1.
Image the StoreAll OS software on the server blade (imaging means the software is copied
to the local hard drives of the server blade).
2.
Log in to the node. When the installation wizard appears, exit immediately.
