Viewing host groups

To view clients that are members of a host group, select the host group in the Hostgroups window.
The member information displays in the Members panel in the lower half of the window. The

Deleting host groups

When you delete a host group, its members are reassigned to the parent of the deleted group.
Select the applicable host group on the Hostgroups window and click Delete. A message displays
asking you to confirm the deletion.
To force the reassigned StoreAll clients to implement the mounts, tunings, network interface
preferences, and allocation policies that have been set on their new host group, either restart
StoreAll software services on the clients or execute the following commands locally:
ibrix_lwmount -a to force the client to pick up mounts or allocation policies
ibrix_lwhost --a to force the client to pick up host tunings

Add preferred NIC

By default, clients and segment servers use the cluster interface. Use this dialog to select a user

to the cluster interface.
The Add Preferred NIC dialog box contains the following fields:
Field

Interface name

Modify host group properties

Use this dialog box to modify properties of host group clients and servers. Under the General tab,
you can select host groups, specify the number of Admin and Server threads, select a protocol
(TCP or UDP) and define a domain. Under the Advanced tab, you can specify module tune options.
For more information, see the HP StoreAll OS User Guide and the HP StoreAll OS CLI Reference
Guide.

Mount a file system to a host group

Use this dialog to mount a files system on all clients belonging to the selected host group. For each
client, the files system is mounted when the client queries the Management Server for its mountpoints
or is rebooted.
