Perform the following steps to pro-
tect the cylinder, piston ring, etc.
from corrosion.
1. Remove the spark plug, pour
about one tablespoon of SAE
10W30 or 20W40 motor oil
into the spark plug hole and
install the spark plug only.
Recoil start the engine by
turning over several times
(with ignition off) to coat the
cylinder walls with oil.
2. Pull the recoil starter until you
feel compression. Then stop
pulling. (This prevents the
cylinder and valve from rust-
ing).
3. Clean exterior of the genera-
tor and apply a rust inhibitor.
4. Store the generator in a dry,
well-ventilated place, with the
cover placed over it.

Exécutez les étapes suivantes pour
protéger le cylindre, le segment de
piston, etc., contre la corrosion.
1. Déposez la bougie, versez en-
viron une cuillerée à soupe
d'huile moteur SAE 10W30 ou
20W40 dans l'orifice de bougie
et installez la bougie. Lancez
plusieurs fois le moteur à l'aide
du lanceur à rappel (avec l'allu-
mage coupé) de façon à revêtir
la chemise du cylindre d'un
film d'huile.
2. Tirez sur le cordon du lanceur
jusqu'à ce que vous sentiez une
certaine compression; cessez
alors de tirer (ceci empêche le
cylindre et les soupapes de
rouiller).
3. Nettoyez l'extérieur du groupe
électrogène et appliquez un
produit antirouille.
4. Remisez le groupe électrogène
dans un endroit sec et bien
aéré, en prenant soin de le cou-
vrir.
N.B.
Le générateur doit rester en posi-
tion verticale lors du remisage.
