6. Troubleshooting

Observe safety instructions! Have all serious malfunctions on the machine or engine repaired
by your agria workshop. They have the proper tools. Improper repairs can only add to the damage.
Problem
Possible cause
Petrol engine
- Spark plug connector not connected
does not start
- Choke is not pulled
- Engine-off-switch is set to "0"
- Safety circuit is not set to start position
- Fuel tank empty or poor fuel
- Fuel line clogged
- Defective spark plug
- Engine too much fuel
("flooded engine")
- Engine-off-line defective
- Inleaked air due to loose caburetor
and suction line
Misfirings in
- Engine running in CHOKE range

- Loose ignition cable
- Clogged fuel line or poor fuel
- Vent opening in fuel tank cap clogged
- Water or dirt in fuel system
- Air filter clogged
- Carburetor misadjusted
Excessive
- Low engine oil level

- Impaired cooling

Misfirings in
- Short firing intervals

Remedy
Connect spark plug connector
Set Choke-lever to
operating position "BETRIEB"
Set engine-off-switch to "I"
Set safety circuit to start position
Fill fresh fuel
Clean fuel line
Clean, adjust or exchange spark plug
Dry and adjust spark plug and
start at full throttle
Check line and connections
Tighten fastening screws
Set CHOKE-lever to
operating position
Firmly connect spark plug connector to
spark plug, fix ignition cable bracket
Clean fuel line,fill fresh fuel
Exchange fuel tank cap
Drain fuel and fill fresh fuel
Clean air filter or exchange
Re-adjust carburetor
Refill oil immediately
Clean cooling fan grille,
clean internal cooling fins
Clean air filter
Re-adjust carburetor
Adjust spark plug
Adjust carburetor
Adjust or replace spark plug
Re-adjust carburetor
