13. Facsimile is not Functioning Properly

Reception Failures

Symptom
The received image is
unclear.
A blank sheet is printed on
the reception paper.
Automatic reception is not
possible.
Black lines are evident on
the received paper.
Possible Cause
Is the recommended paper being
used?
Is the paper damp?
Is the amount of toner sufficient?
Is the Toner Bottle placed in
position?
Is there a program with the line
condition or the fax machine at the
destination?
Is the amount of toner sufficient?
Has the sender placed the document
reverse way between the front and
back side?
Is manual reception set?
Is memory full?
Is a report being printed?
Is a message being shown?

Action

Change paper with one fresh from

Change the Toner Bottle.

produced, try sending it again.
