Be certain that the hex-head screws must be snugly retightened. The correct torque is 23 Nm (fig. 43).
Adjusting the Angle of the Footplate (fig. 51)
The standard equipment of your folding wheelchair includes adjustable angle footplates.
To adjust, slide a 5 mm Allan wrench through the side hole in the footrest bar until the wrench locks into the

driver will disengage the clamp connection.
Adjust the footplate to the desired position and snugly retighten the screw.
Height Adjustment of the Standard Footplate (fig. 52)
By loosening the screw at the footrest bar, the footplate can be adjusted according to your individual lower leg
length and the seat cushion you use.
Note: Loosen the screw – do not completely remove the screw. There are two threaded bores in your footrest bar.
Depending on the desired adjustment, it may be necessary that the screw will have to be completely removed
and the second bore used.

Loosen the screw (item a) and move the footplate upwards or downwards according to the desired lower leg
length. After having repeated this procedure at the opposite footplate side (divided plate) or after having
adapted the bolt attachment device to the new height, snugly retighten the two screws. In case the adjustment
range is not sufficient, it can be extended as follows: Remove the hex-head screws (item b) and using them,
position the guides (item c) at both sides in one of the lower or upper bore holes.
Before tightening the hex-head screws, check for correct adjustment of the caster journal angle (see page 7).
Be certain to snugly retighten the screws and nuts after all adjustments.
Height Adjustment of the Flip-up Footplat with Automatic Length Adjustment (fig. 55)
First remove the screw (item a) from the footrest bar: To change the lower leg length, the upper or lower thread

might be necessary that one or several distance sleeves (item b) need to be removed before.
Be certain to snugly retighten the screws and nuts after all adjustments.

Adjusting the Angle of the Flip-up Avantgarde FL Footrest (fig. 57)
The legrest is adjustable within the range of 15° to 90°. Pull the footrest upward to the desired position. The

of the legrest.
