INSTALLATION
Unpack the ceramic logs very carefully to avoid damaging them. Install the logs as shown below. Please
note that the position of the logs is critical to insure proper performance of the appliance.
When placing the base and middle logs, rotate them a little bit to anchor them into position.
1. Place the rear log on the back of the ember bed locating its right-hand end over the key in the ember
bed. Slide the log back until it rests against the vertical sheet metal edge.
2. Place the left-hand middle log in front of the rear log locating it over the key in the ember bed as
indicated. The fl at part of the log sits on the platform. The key notch is at the back of the log.
3. Place the left-hand base log on the platform locating it on the key as indicated. Move the log slightly forward
so that it does not cover the pilot. However, do not cover the two burner holes at the front of the log.
