Plug the machine to a GROUNDED socket using the supplied power cord 8. Make sure
the socket can support the capacity of the machine (see technical data). Do not use
multiple sockets an d/or extension cords.
PRIMING OPERA noNS: without inserting the capsule-holding filter 11 open the
steam
nozzle by rotating knob 3 to the steam symbol, press the coffee switch 13 and turn
an the device by pressing the generalluminous switch 15. After a few moments, water
will flow from the steam spout 4-5. Bring the coffee switch 13 back to its initial position,
close the steam nozzle and wait until the resistance led 16 turns aff. Now the device
has reached the proper temperature and the machine is ready for use.
CAUTION: using the machine without water or without first priming the pump will
cause serious damage not covered by warranty.
TlfE PRIMING OPERATIONS SHOULD BE REPEATED EVERY TIME THE MACHINE
HAS BEEN USED WITHOUT WATER OR AFTER A LONG PERIOD OF DISUSE.
PREPARATION OF COFFEE (figures

To prepare an excellent espresso, the machine must be ready. Far this reason, it is
advisable to switch the machine on a few minutes prior to use.

2) lnsert the capsule In its seat In the capsule-holding filter 11 (fig. b);
3) insert the capsule-holding filter 11 in the fixed boiler unit, initial position "X", push
it upwards and rotate it counterclokwise until it is completely tightened, final position
"Y"

4) piace the cup on the support rack 6 under the spout 12 (fig. e);
5) press the cotfee switch 13 to start dispensing the cotfee (fig. f);
6) when you reach the desired quantity, stop dispensing the coffee
by returning switch
13 to its originai position.
Wait about 5 seconds, then open the capsule-holding filter 11 by rotating the handle
to the left and remove the capsule.
Alwaya remove the uaed capsule from the machine after diapenaing coffee.
CAUTION: when preparing cappuccino, dispense coffee first and then froth the milk.
IMPORTANT: always make sure that there is water in the tank and that the tank is
properly hooked to the machine.
lf you used the machine wlthout water, you must repeat the primlng operations.
Make sure the suction tube is always immersed and that it is not cut or clogged.
NOTE: when the machine is on, some drops from the filter are normal.
Empty the drop-collecting tray 7 often.

Completar a operaçio de arranque se necessaria.
1) Manter pressionado o botAo vapor 14 na posiçAo vapor (fig. g);
2) esperar que o indicador resistencia 16 se apague e saltar o botii.o vapor 14 (fig.
a);
3) imergir cerca de metade o batedor de leite na chévena com o leite (fig. h);
4) abrir a torneira vapor rodando o manipulo 3 em sentido anti-horario (fig. h);
5) iniciar-se-é a seguir a salda de vapor;
6)
ao
atingir a quanti d ade de espuma desejada interromper a distribuiç8o, deslocando
o manlpulo 3 para a posiçio inicial.
NOTA: antes de efectuar novamente a operaçB.o é preciso premir novamente o botao
do vapor 14, até se apagar o indicador luminoso da resistència 16.
ATENçAO: depois de ter largado o botao do vapor 14 activar sempre a distribuiçao
do vapor para evitar que a méquina aqueça.
IMPORTANTE: ao terminar a distribuiç8o limpar o batedor de leite e o tubo vapor com
um pano h~mido.

FALTA DE AGUA (ver figura
a)
O nivei da égua pode ser controlado directamente pelo dep6sito transparente e deve
estar sempre superior à indicaçio de mfnimo. Em caso de falta de égua a distribuiçao
fica bloqueada e a bomba torna-se ruidosa, ouvindo-se um gorgolejo do dep6sito de
égua.
AVISO: antes de encher o reservat6rio desligar a maquina da corrente eléctrica.
ATENçA.o: encher imediatamente o reservat6rio com égua fria tendo o cuidado de
nao ultrapassar o nivei maximo e retomar a utilizaçB.o normal.
Se faltar égua durante o funcionamento, encher o reservat6rio e executar a operaçBo
de arranque descrita anteriormente, de modo a can-egar a bomba, logo de seguida
retomar a utilizaçao normal.
MANUTENçAO E LIMPEZA (ver figura i)
Desligar sempre a ficha da tomada de corrente.
Esvaziar periodicamente cada 213 dìas a gaveta apara-gotas 7, ou pelo menos quando
estiver chela.
Limpar o grupo caldeira com pano normalligeiramente embebido em égua e secar
bem.
É
possfvel desmontar a gaveta apara-gotas o batedor de leite , o bica de distribuiçao,
o reservat6rio de agua , o copo porta-capsula e lava-los com agua corrente; secar
bem e monté-los de nova.
Para a limpeza utilizar um detergente liquido comum e neutro. Nunca utilize, seja qual
for a razAo, materiais abrasivos, alcool ou solventes.
Nunca imergir a maqulna em agua.
