8.7 Main menu Upgrade
By factory default, this recorder is equipped with the newest firmware/software. If there is a
new firmware version available, you can download it for free from our website at:
www.santec-video.com
If you have any questions, our technical support team would be happy to assist you.
If you with to upgrade the firmware/software for this recorder model, it can only be done by
using a USB stick. Please proceed as follows:
Store the firmware on the USB stick.
Insert the USB stick into one of the USB ports (rear or front panel of the recorder).
Open the menu:
Main menu Upgrade
The firmware stored on the USB stick is listed here.
Select the firmware file and click on "Upgrade". The upgrade process now starts.
During the upgrade process, please do not shut down the recorder!
While the upgrade is running (might take a few minutes), don't shut down the recorder
because the upgrade cannot be completed. Once the upgrade is finished, the recorder
automatically reboots.
8.8 Main menu Logoff
If you select this menu item, a message pops up prompting you to confirm that you wish to
logoff. If you confirm by clicking "Ok", you are logged off.
In order to adjust recorder settings, you need to be logged in. To login, right-click so that the
menu bar appears at the bottom of the screen. Click on the main menu symbol
to login again.
8.9 Main menu Shut down
If you want to switch off the recorder, please shut it down first.
In the main menu select „Shut Down" and confirm with „OK".
The recorder is now shutting down (might take a few seconds).
Once a confirmation message appears, you can disconnect the recorder from power. Now
the recorder is finally switched off.
Note:
At any case, please use „Shut Down" before switching off the recorder because otherwise
this may lead to data loss.
