Dynamic Address

Use the Dynamic Address screen to set the amount of time to keep a learned MAC address
entry in the forwarding database. The forwarding database contains static entries, which are
never aged out, and dynamically learned entries, which are removed if they are not updated
within a given time.
To configure the Dynamic Address setting:
1.
Select Switching > Address Table > Advanced > Dynamic Address.
2.
Specify the number of seconds the forwarding database should wait before deleting a
learned entry that has not been updated in the Address Aging Timeout field.
You can enter any number of seconds from 10 through 630. The default is 300.
3.
Click Apply to send the updated configuration to the switch.
4.
Click Cancel to reset the data to the latest value of the switch.

Static MAC Address

Use the Static MAC Address Configuration page to configure and view static MAC addresses
on an interface.
To configure a static MAC address:
1.
Select Switching > Address Table > Advanced > Static MAC Address.
2.
Select the VLAN ID corresponding to the MAC address to add.
3.
Specify the MAC address to add.
4.
Specify the Interface associated with the MAC address.
5.
Click Add.
To delete a static MAC address, select the check box next to the entry and click Delete.

Description
Specifies the VLAN ID on which the MAC address has forwarding or filtering
information.
A unicast MAC address for which the switch has forwarding or filtering
information. The format is a 6-byte MAC address with each byte separated
by colons. For example, 00:0F:89:AB:CD:EF.
The port where this address was learned: that is, this field displays the port
through which the MAC address can be reached.
The status of this entry. The possible values are:
Static. The entry was added when a static MAC filter was defined.
Learned. The entry was learned by observing the source MAC
addresses of incoming traffic, and is currently in use.
