11 Heating system inspection and maintenance
As-required maintenance work
1. Shut down the heating system
2. Remove and clean the hot gas baffle plates
3. Clean the hot gas flues (heating surfaces) and combustion
chamber, then re-install the hot gas baffle plates in their original
position.
4. Check and, if required, replace gaskets/packing cord on the burner
door and burner
5. Start up the heating system
6 Final checks of the maintenance work
7. Check functioning and safety in operation
Confirm that maintenance was carried out by a properly qualified person
