TROUBLESHOOTING
Refer to the table below when this unit does not function properly. If the problem you are experiencing is not listed below
or
if
the instruction below does not help, set this unit to the standby mode, disconnect the power cable, and contact the
nearest authorized YAMAHA dealer or service center.

"INPUT MODE" is set to "ANALOG"
while playing a source encoded in DTS.
Signals this unit cannot reproduce are
being input from a source component,
such as a CD-ROM.
The output and input for the picture are
connected to different types of video
jacks.
Make sure that all speaker wire connections on this
unit and on all speakers are secure and that the wire
for each connection docs not touch anything other
than its respective connection.
Set this unit to the standby mode, disconnect the
power cable, plug it back in after 30 seconds and then
usc it normally.
Connect the cables properly. If the problem persists,
the cables may be defective.
Set "INPUT MODE" to "AUTO".
Select an appropriate input source with the lNPUT
selector on the front panel (or the input selector
buttons on the remote control) and MULTI CH
INPUT on the front panel (or MULTI CH IN on the
remote control).
Secure the connections.
Select the set affront speakers with SPEAKERS AlB
on the front panel or SPEAKERS on the remote
control.
Turn up the volume.
Press MUTE or VOLUME +/- on the remote control
to resume audio output and then adjust the volume.
Set "INPUT MODE" to "AUTO" or "DTS".
Playa source whose signals can be reproduced by this
unit.
Connect your video source components in the same
way as you connect your video monitor to this unit.
