• Select "TREBLE" to adjust the high-frequency
response.
• Select "BASS" to adjust the low-frequency
response.
• Speaker and headphone adjustments are stored
independently.
• When "TC.BYPASS" is set to "AUTO" (see page 77), and
"BASS" and "TREBLE" are set to
a
dB, audio output
automatically bypasses the tone control circuitry of this
unit.
• If you increase or decrease the high-frequency or low-
frequency sound to an extreme level, the tonal quality of
the surround speakers may not match that of the front left
and right speakers.
• TONE CONTROL is not effective when the "DIRECT
STEREO" mode (see page 36) is selected or when
"MULTI CH INPUT" (see page 35) is selected as the
input source.
• To enjoy 6. I-channel compatible sources in surround, see
page 38 for details.
• Choose a sound field program based on your listening
preference, not merely on the name of the program.
• When you select an input source, this unit automatically
selects the last sound field program used with the
corresponding input source.
• Sound field programs cannot be selected when the
component connected to the MULTI CH INPUT jacks is
selected as the input source (see page 35).
• Sampling frequencies higher than 48 kHz (except for DTS
96/24 signals) are sampled down to 48 kHz and then sound
field programs are applied.
• To display information about the currently selected input
source in the front panel display, see page 36 for details.
