Service Mode 9 (System Maintenance)

5.9.1 Overview
This Service Mode is used to maintain and/or update the firmware of the machine.
Use the following procedure for System Maintenance.
Step
1 Standby
2 Press "FUNCTION" and then "7".
3 Press "MONITOR" four times, then press "*".
4 Press "9".
5 Press "START" to update the firmware.
Enter No. or press "
Ex: Enter "2".
6 Press "START" and "SET".
7 After the backup is completed, repeat step 4 through 6
to request an operation.
8 Press "STOP" to return to standby.

Note:
The created Backup Card must be removed from the machine.
Operation or Unit Condition

System Maintenance Table
Updates the firmware in the machine with the Master Firmware Card.
Creates a Backup Card of the machine's firmware.
(A 2 MB or higher Flash Memory Card is required)
Restores the parameters from the Backup Card into the machine.
Creates a Backup Card of the machine's parameters.
(A 1 MB or higher Flash Memory Card is required)
Creates a Master Firmware Card using the Firmware Update Kit.
(A 2 MB or higher Flash Memory Card is required)
Transfers documents from memory to another fax machine during a fatal printer
error.
