Periodic Maintenance Procedures

Every 250 Hours of Operation

Be sure to check the following items every
250 hours or after one year of operation, whichever
comes first.
• Check the Fuel Injector Spray Pattern (Initial
250 Hours Only)
• Adjust the Intake / Exhaust Valve Clearance
(Initial 250 Hours Only)
• Drain the Fuel Tank
• Replace the Fuel Filter Element
• Replace the Engine Oil and Engine Oil Filter
• Check the Seawater Pump Impeller
• Replace the Zinc Anode
• Clean the Air Intake Silencer
• Clean the Exhaust / Water Mixing Elbow
• Clean the Turbocharger Blower
• Flush the Intercooler
• Check the Wiring Connectors
• Tighten All Major Nuts and Bolts
• Check or Replace the Flexible Engine Mounts
• Replace the Engine Coolant

Check the Fuel Injector Spray Pattern
NOTICE: This engine applies double spring
nozzles manufactured by DENSO. Testing,
modifications or repairs should be performed by
your authorized YANMAR service center.
WARNING!
• Never point a fuel injector toward you. Since
the fuel is ejected at high-pressure from the
nozzle, it may penetrate the skin, resulting in
injury.
• Never inject fuel toward a fire source.
Atomized fuel is highly flammable and may
cause a fire or burn skin.
CAUTION! ALWAYS wear eye protection when
servicing the engine and when using
compressed air or high-pressure fuel. Dust,
flying debris, compressed air, pressurized fuel
may injure your eyes.
