TROUBLESHOOTING
Trouble symptom
The engine stops suddenly.
Fuel supply stops.
Engine does not stop.

Causes
Emergency stop switch on
switch panel was pressed.
Emergency stop switch is
open.
No fuel in the fuel tank.
Air in the fuel system.
Fuel and water in the tank.
Closed fuel cock(s).
Clogged fuel filter.
Damaged fuel lines.
Faulty fuel feed pump.
Seized main moving part(s).
Clogged air cleaner.
Fuel injection pump brackets
are improper.
Seized fuel injection pump
plunger.

Troubleshooting by Symptom
Corrective action
Turn off the emergency stop
switch.
Check the continuity of the
circuit. Replace the damaged
harness.
Refuel.
Bleed air.
Drain the fuel tank.
Open the cock(s).
Replace the filter.
Check the fuel system and
repair.
Check the feed pump and
repair or replace.
Repair or replace if
necessary.
Clean or replace.
Disassemble the fuel
injection pump brackets and
reassemble according to this
manual. NOTICE: After
reassembling, check the lag
with a YDT to check the
movement of the rack.
Replace the fuel injection
pump. Then, check the lag
with a YDT to check the
movement of the rack.
