Paper exit opening control (FS-604)

A. Paper exit opening/closing mechanism
In the stapling mode (when the size in the sub scan direction is B5R or longer), and in the folding/saddle stitch-
ing/tri-folding mode, paper protrudes from the paper exit opening. Accordingly, in the stapling mode, the paper
exit opening opens from the start of printing up to the completion of stapling operation. And in the folding/ sad-
dle stitching/ tri-folding mode, it opens from the start of printing up to the detection of the trailing edge of the last
paper.
When the paper exit motor (M8) [1] rotates, the crank mechanism [2] opens and closes the paper exit unit [3].
The open/close of the paper exit opening is detected by the paper exit home sensor (PS12) [4].
