B. Stopper release while in the through mode
After completion of the stopper evacuation movement [2] described in the previous section, the stopper release
motor (M104) turns ON a specified period of time after the conveyance motor (M101) turns OFF to start the
stopper release [3]. When M104 turns OFF with the stopper release home sensor (PS104) OFF, the stopper is
brought down. In this way, the conveyance path for paper exit is secured.

C. Stopper reset
When the paper exit conveyance operation causes the exit sensor (PS108) to detect the trailing edge (trimming
side) of the booklet, the stopper release motor (M104) turns ON again to start the stopper setting operation.
When the stopper release home sensor (PS104) turns ON, M104 turns OFF to stand the stopper on end. In this
way, the stopper is being set.
