B. Staple control
(1) Stapling
After completing the alignment operation of the alignment plate, the stapler motors /Rr (M9) and /Fr (M14) per-
form the stapling operation.
The stapling operation is completed when the stapler home sensors /Rr (PS30) and /Fr (PS31) in the staplers /Rr
and /Fr detect the home position and turn ON.
(2) Clogged staple detection
During the stapling operation, it is determined that the staple has been clogged and M9 and M14 turn OFF if
PS30 and PS31 do not turn ON after a specified period of time since they turn OFF.
(3) Staple feed control
After the cartridge is replaced, a stapling operation is automatically made without using actual staple-needles
until the stapler ready sensors /Rr and /Fr (PS38, PS39) turn ON to feed staples to the tip of the stapler.
(4) Staple detection control
When the staples run out, the staple empty sensor /Rr (PS35) and /Fr (PS37) turn ON and the main body dis-
plays the error message on its operation panel.
