Immobilizer system indicator light fault code indication
Units of 10: Cycles of on for 1 second and off for 1.5 seconds.
Units of 1: Cycles of on for 0.5 second and off for 0.5 second.
Example: fault code 52
Symptom
Codes between the
key and immobilizer
unit do not match.
Codes cannot be
transmitted be-
tween the ECU and
the immobilizer unit.
Codes transmitted
between the ECU
and the immobilizer

Key code registra-
tion malfunction.

IMMOBILIZER SYSTEM
Cause
1. Signal received from
other transponder
(failed to recognize
code after ten con-
secutive attempts).
2. Signal received from
unregistered stan-
dard key.
Noise interference or
disconnected lead/ca-
ble.
1. Interference due to
radio wave noise.
2. Disconnected com-
munication harness.
3. Immobilizer unit mal-
function.
4. ECU malfunction.
