Multi-Media Performance
Live Video
The settings for Continuous Recording and Event Recording are independent of those for
live video.
The settings for Continuous Recording need to be lower (or equal) to the Event Recording
settings. If higher values cannot be set for Event Recording, the values that are being used
for Continuous Recording may be set too high.
Once Event Recording is set up, View operators have the option of clicking Boost (
while monitoring Live video. Clicking Boost triggers Event Recording. See the

Event Recording on Demand during a Site Tour
In the View application, the Event Recording button is unavailable while a tour is running.
Pause the tour to enable the button.
A storage area may be of little interest until someone enters it. A Rapid Eye unit can be set
up to use Continuous recording until motion at the door to the storage area is detected. The
unit switches to the Event Recording settings automatically once motion is detected.
