Customizing the Phone Display
This chapter shows you how to customize your Polycom VVX 1500 C Business Media Phone for Cisco
Unified Communications Manager (SIP)Polycom VVX 1500 business media phone display by adjusting
certain settings, such as the time and date display, the brightness of the touch screen, and how video
displays. You can also change the background image that displays, enable a screen saver, or use your
phone as a picture frame to display your pictures.
Changing the Language
Your phone supports several languages.
To change the language:
1 Tap
> Settings > Basic > Preferences > Language.
2 From the Language screen, tap the language you want, and then tap the Select soft key.
The text on the screen changes to the language that you selected.
3 Tap
Changing the Time and Date Display
The time and date appear on the phone's touch screen. If the phone cannot obtain a time and date, the
display will flash. Contact your system administrator if either the time or date is incorrect.
You can select from various formats for the time and date display, including whether to display the day,
month, or year. You can also turn the time and date display off, so it doesn't display on the screen. Select
and set options that are right for you.
The following figure shows a phone that uses the 12 AM/PM time format and the Jan,1 date format.
