WHAT TO DO IF SOMETHING GOES WRONG

IF A STAPLE IS JAMMED

Note
Staples might be jammed repeatedly because of curled paper. In this case, try turning the
paper over in the tray.
After removing jammed staples, staples might not be ejected the first few times you try to use
the stapler.
A Open the sorter stapler
front cover.
B Turn the dial in the ar-
row direction until the
staple unit stops.
F Push the lock on the
right side of the phase
plate to open the phase
plate.

Tur n the car tridge
backward until a click
is heard.

C Pull the R3 holder and
pull out the staple unit.
G Remove the jammed
staple.

Return the R3 holder
into the original posi-
tion.

Close the sorter sta-
pler front cover.
D Push the cartridge for-
ward to release it.
H Restore the phase
plate in the original
place until a click is
heard.
E Pull out the cartridge.

Place the cartridge in
the staple unit.
