4.4.1 Extended Line Printer Server

If you want to uninstall the 'Extended Line Printer Server', it is recommended to save the
'printcap' file prior to de-installation in case you will need it for some other programs.

4.5 Security issues and known problems

Specific hints for installation on VISTA Business and Windows Server 2008
• By installation on Windows VISTA or on Windows Server 2008, you have in many situ-
ations to confirm that an action has to be performed with the administrator rights.
• In some situations (e.g. creation of a WPE port) by installation on Windows VISTA or
on Windows Server 2008, you should explicitly allow some dialogs to be displayed.
• You have to configure the Windows Firewall on Windows Vista Business to allow sub-
mission by lpr, ospprint and Remote Administration, deactivating of a firewall is not al-
ways allowed.

4.6 Software Modification Packages

Correction packages will be delivered in the form of Software Modification Package (SMP)
together with a release notes describing the corrections included in the package.
Installation/uninstallation of SMP will be described in the release note.
