5.4.6 Integration of the Océ Professional Document Viewer (PDViewer)
The integrated PCL viewer (Swiftview) is unable to open and to view PCL data files gener-
ated by the Océ Windows Print Driver (WPD).
The PDV has its own installation program and its own license key. It's part of Océ Windows
Print Driver (WPD) package.
To configure this viewer in PRISMAspool, a new data type is added: PCL-WPD.
From the "File" Menu, select "Configure Viewer" and the click on Add button to configure
the PDV Viewer. PDV Viewer must be already installed on your system. It also can be in-
stalled on a remote system and you should have licence key to use it correctly.
Now select the data type "PCL-WPD".
In the view edit field, type or browse the path of the executable of the PDV Viewer. You
should also set correct parameters for this viewer.
Press on OK and you will have PDV viewer configured for the data type generated by the
Océ Windows Printer Driver.
The viewing process is automatic: PRISMAspool will check data file and decide which view-
er (SwiftView or PDV (if present and well configured)) has to be called.
