If the HTRD400 Recorder is not already on (POWER LED is solid green when on),
briefly press the POWER button on the front panel.
Note
After pressing the POWER button, the recorder stays awake for about five
minutes, waiting for a live PC network connection. After this time, if no live
connection is made and no wake-up triggers are active, the recorder returns
to Sleep mode.

Start the Toolbox or Player application by double-clicking the appropriate icon on the
Windows desktop.

First connection:
The recorder displays with the factory default name and serial number in the
Available Recorders area of the Toolbox Main Menu or the Recorders tab on the
Explorer Pane of the Player application. To establish a communication link, either
double-click the recorder name or highlight the recorder name and then click
Connect.
The HTRD400 Recorder initialises with the default factory-programmed
configuration. You must modify the factory default configuration for your unique
application (see
Mandatory
HTRD400

for more information).
