8.5 Rebooting

You can use VisiCon to remotely reboot your camera, to return all camera settings to the factory
default settings, or to initiate an immediate software reload. To use the remote reboot feature:

click on the Reboot camera button in VisiCon's main management menu. A new
dialog box will appear:
Choose the operation you wish to perform and click on the OK button.
After you initiate a factory reset, all camera settings, including the IP address and
passwords, will revert to the factory defaults. You will need to reassign the
camera's IP address before any connectivity will be available. Return to the

If you have forgotten your Superuser password, you must manually reset
the camera using either the Focus/Factory Reset button or by using
VisiCon. After the reset, the privileged password reverts to the default
password: system.
