7: Modem Settings

7.1 Overview

When an IQeye camera is connected to a compatible modem, a remote user can establish an
incoming connection to the camera to access either Telnet or WWW sessions with that camera.
Or, a trigger event can initiate the camera to establish a dial-out connection for transferring
trigger images to a remote FTP server or for sending images via e-mail.
This chapter discusses the settings necessary for enabling dial-up connectivity for IQeye
cameras. These settings are contained on the Modem Settings page. The items on this page
enable you to configure the necessary information for establishing both dial-in and dial-out
connections through a connected modem. To navigate to the Modem Settings page, either select
Modem Settings from the navigational pull-down menu located on the View Images page, or
click the Modem tab that appears in the settings menu:
