How To... REMOVE AND REPLACE POWER MODULE
Tools Required: Phillips screwdriver, Standard screwdriver, 5/16" Open-end wrench, 5/32" hex head wrench, Small
diagonal cutter, and Wire ties
Step 1
Turn the power OFF. Disconnect the power cord from the outlet.
Step 2
Remove the HOUSING. (See "How To...")
Step 3
Disconnect the 2-PIN CONNECTOR leading to J4 on the POWER BOARD. Unclip this WIRE HARNESS along the
height of the FRAME.
Step 4
With a 5/16" wrench, loosen and remove the GROUND TERMINAL NUT which attaches the GROUNDING STRAP
to the ALTERNATOR.
NOTE: With a small diagonal cutter, cut any wire ties necessary to remove the power module.
Step 5
With a 5/16" wrench, loosen and remove the (4) 5/16" MOUNTING SCREWS from the POWER MODULE.
Step 6
Remove the POWER MODULE from the FRAME.
Step 7
Reverse steps 1 through 6 to return all parts to their proper position.
NOTE: Replace any wire that were cut to remove the power module.
