DIAGNOSTIC MODE
ACCESS AND EXECUTION
Network Test Mode
9. The Network Test Mode is a Factory Test and has no function.
Lifepulse Monitor Mode
10. The LS 9500HR hand rail comes equipped with two metal sensor pairs: Two on the left handrail ( one above and
another
below) and two on the right handrail. Make sure these four sensors are kept clean.
a. Pressing the 6 key during the walking LED test will initialize the Lifepulse test mode. The VF display window
will identify the test and then display the current status of the Lifepulse circuit.
b. Pressing the Cardio Heart Rate key enables the Lifepulse sensors. An LED illuminates upon enabling this
program.
When the Lifepulse is enabled, the console displays the following:
- When you grasp each sensor the message "Monitoring Heart Rate" appears in the VF display center.
The time lapsed during each heart rate measurement attempt appears in the TIME window.

- The gain required to monitor the hearts signal appears in the CALORIE window.
A heart shaped pattern will be displayed in the red led matrix.

c. Upon grasping the Heart Rate Sensors, confirm the following changes in the display console.
The message center should read Monitoring Heart Rate.

The heart shaped pattern on the red matrix should flash.

- The time lapsed counter should begin to measure time in seconds.
The gain value (calorie window) should increase.

Within 10 – 20 seconds:
The gain should stabilize at a value less than 99.

The message center should read Heart Rate – xxx BPM
-
d. Release handrail sensors. Display console should return to the same values as in (b).
e. Pressing the Manual key will turn on the led indicator and will request the Lifepulse software versions for its
HC05 and DSP processors. Pressing the Manual key again will turn off the indicator led and return the
Lifepulse to heart rate mode.
f. Pressing the Clear key will exit the Lifepulse monitor test and return to the walking LED's
(Large Display)
