Chapter 2 Catalyst 3550 Switch Cisco IOS Commands

cluster run

Use the cluster run global configuration command to enable clustering on a switch. Use the no form of
this command to disable clustering on a switch.
Syntax Description
This command has no arguments or keywords.
Defaults Clustering is enabled on all switches.

Usage Guidelines When you enter the no cluster run command on a command switch, the command switch is disabled.
Clustering is disabled, and the switch is incapable of becoming a candidate switch.
When you enter the no cluster run command on a member switch, it is removed from the cluster.
Clustering is disabled, and the switch is incapable of becoming a candidate switch.
When you enter the no cluster run command on a switch that is not part of a cluster, clustering is
disabled on this switch. This switch cannot then become a candidate switch.
Examples
This example shows how to disable clustering on the command switch:
Switch(config)# no cluster run
You can verify your setting by entering the show cluster privileged EXEC command.
