Printing from a pure DOS application

Printing from a DOS application basically requires a different procedure
than printing of an application based on Windows. For this reason the
procedure is separately described below.
When you want to print a document from a pure DOS application, you
have to carry out the following two steps:
1. Create a print file.
2. Print the print file.

Creation of print file

1 Make sure you are working in Windows.
2 Select the "options" tab in the Minoltafax 1400 control programme.
3 Make sure that the function "Deactivate Minoltafax 1400 printer from
DOS" is not cross-marked.
4 Quit Windows.
5 Start the DOS application from which you want to print.
6 Set the HP DeskJet 500C printer as the present printer unit.

There is a monochrome as well as a multi-coloured version of the
printer driver.

If you want to print in one colour only, select the monochrome
version. If you want a multi-coloured print, select the multi-coloured
version.

➜ Use the HP DeskJet 500 as printer with which you can, however,
only make monochrome prints.
