Transferring the UPS Between Modes

If optional EBMs are installed, switch all EBM battery circuit breakers to the
OFF (O) position.
6.
Switch the UPS input circuit breaker to the OFF (O) position.
7.
Disconnect the redundant signal cable(s) from the UPS.
8.
If you are shutting down all the UPSs in a parallel system, repeat Steps 1
through 7 for each UPS, then remove utility power from the system. Otherwise,
continue to Step 9.
9.
If it is necessary to completely remove power from the individual UPS,
disconnect the UPS from the BladeUPS Bar.

Parallel System Shutdown

To remove power to the parallel UPS system output (see Figure 32 on page 43):
1.
Switch each UPS load connector circuit breaker to the OFF (O) position.
NOTE The load connector breaker controls the load connector only, not the output power cord.

Press any button on any front panel display to activate the menu options. Select
TURN UPS ON/OFF, TURN SYSTEM OFF, and press the

The UPS removes power to the parallel UPS system output.
The output relays open, the UPSs transfer to Standby mode, and the
indicators turn off.

Switch all UPS battery circuit breakers to the OFF (O) position.

If optional EBMs are installed, switch all EBM battery circuit breakers to the
OFF (O) position.
6.
Switch each UPS input circuit breaker to the OFF (O) position.
7.
Switch off utility power where the parallel system is connected.
From Normal to Bypass Mode. Press any button to activate the menu options, then
select CONTROL and GO TO BYPASS MODE.
From Bypass to Normal Mode. Press any button to activate the menu options, then
select CONTROL and GO TO NORMAL MODE. Alternatively (standalone UPS only):
Press any button to activate the menu options, then select TURN UPS ON/OFF,
TURN UPS ON, and OK to confirm.
