vlan-interface-id: Specifies a VLAN interface number in the range of 1 to 4094.
Usage guidelines
Create the VLAN before you create the VLAN interface.
Examples
# Create VLAN interface 2, and enter its view.

mtu

Use mtu to set the MTU for a VLAN interface.
Use undo mtu to restore the default.
Syntax
mtu size
undo mtu
Default
The MTU of a VLAN interface is 1500 bytes.

size: Sets the MTU in bytes. The value range is 46 to 1500.
Usage guidelines
You can use the ip mtu command or the mtu command to set the MTU for a VLAN interface. If both
commands are used, the ip mtu command takes effect. For more information about the ip mtu command,
see Layer 3—IP Services Command Reference.
The configured MTU takes effect only on the packets that are delivered to the CPU for software
forwarding, such as packets that are sent from or destined to this interface.
Set an appropriate MTU for a VLAN interface based on the network environment to avoid fragmentation.
