Bartacking

(_ Thread tension dial: AUTO

Set the machine to "Low" speed setting. 4 lock stitches will
be sewn first. Then sew to the desired length and press
the reverse button.
The desired length has been now determined. Continue
sewing until the machine stops automatically.
* This stitch is used to strengthen garment areas that
require heavy reinforcement.
The maximum bartack length is 1" (2.5 cm)depending
upon fabric.
When you change the stitch length or stitch width, press
width "+", or "-" or length ""-" or "-" key.

Memorizing bartacking
When repeatedly sewing the same size bartack press
memory key and restart sewing.

, Adjusting the evenness of bartackJng
Make a test on an extra piece of fabric to check your
settings. If the bartacking is uneven, adjust the stitch
by turning the feed balancing dial as follows.
• If the stitch does not meet start position _, turn the dial
toward "+" for even stitch _.
• If the stitch does not meet return position _, turn the dial
toward "-" for even stitch !0_.

Eyelet

(_) Foot: Satin stitch foot F
The eyelet is used for belt holes etc.
To
sew
Depress the foot control to sew.
The machine will sew an eyelet and stop automatically
when completed.
Open the eyelet with an awl, punch or pointed scissors.
Adjusting the shape of an eyelet
If the shape of the eyelet is distorted, correct it by pressing
the stitch length adjusting key.
Note:
The shape can be adjusted within L1 to L3 (default
setting is L2).
