Configure Authentication for NDS (Novell)

Information Checklist
Before starting the installation procedure, please ensure the following items are available or have been
performed.
1. Ensure the NetWare protocol is enabled on your machine by printing a Configuration Report.
At the Machine
2. Press the [Machine Status] button.
3. Touch [Print Reports].
4. Touch [Print Configuration Report].
5. Touch [Close].
The Configuration Report will print. Verify the NetWare settings configured under Network Setup. NetWare
should read Enabled.
For instructions on how to enable NetWare, refer to NetWare in the Protocols section of this guide.
At your Workstation:
1. Open your Web browser and enter the TCP/IP address of the machine in the Address or Location field.
Press [Enter].
2. Click the [Properties] tab.
3. Enter the Administrator User name (admin) and Password (1111), if prompted.
4. Select the symbol to the left of [Security].
5. Select [Authentication Configuration].
6. Verify that the Personalization checkbox is checked (if using LDAP), then select [Remotely on the
Network] for Device User Interface Authentication and Authorization, and click [Next].
7. Make sure that the NetWare protocol has been enabled per the instructions contained in this guide in
the Protocols section. For NDS you will need to supply the NDS tree and context.
8. Click [Save] to save the settings.
