To Change the Language
Each extension can select the display prompts to be in English, French or Spanish.
From your Feature Phone, press the PROGRAM key.
Select "Language".
Select the required option – English, French or Spanish.
NOTE: The language setting for all the Feature Phones can be changed. This is done through system
programming. See page 71.

Automatic Answer

You can program your Feature Phone to work in "Auto-answer mode". In this mode the speakerphone key light
flashes red, and when you receive an internal call you hear a burst of tone and the call is answered automatically.
You can speak to the caller without touching the telephone set.
1. From your Feature Phone, press the PROGRAM key.
2. Select "Auto Answer".
3. Select the required option - "Set auto answer" or "Cancel auto answer".
To Program a Feature onto a Programmable Key
You can re-program any or all of the programmable keys on the Feature Phones.
There are 8 on the eight line Feature Phone, 16 on the sixteen line Feature Phone and 32 on the DSS. You can
program these keys to select lines, extensions, features or speed-dial numbers.
1. From your Feature Phone, press the PROGRAM key
2. Press the Scroll Down key ( ) until "Key Programming" is displayed.
3. Select "Key Programming".
4. Press the programmable key to be programmed. A list of options appears on the display.
5. Select the required feature to be programmed onto the key. Use the Scroll Down key ( ) to scroll down to
view the list of available features. For example, to program the key with a speed dial number, select the
"Send MF Digits to Line" option.
NOTE: If you are programming the key to call an external number remember to precede the number with a 9 or
760 - 769. These are the line access codes and they must be programmed so that a line is selected.
Headset Mode
When a headset is plugged in to the headset socket it is automatically detected and the option to turn the headset
on is displayed on the display.
You can also turn headset mode on and off via the PROGRAM key.
1. From your Feature Phone, press the PROGRAM key.
2. Press the Scroll Down key ( ) until "Headset Mode" is displayed.
3. Select "Headset Mode".
4. Select the required option – "Turn Headset On" or "Turn Headset Off". Once selected, the display will show
"Turn Headset On" or "Turn Headset Off" and then revert to the Idle Menu.
NOTE: The handset can be used to listen into the call when the headset mode is turned on.
To Select a Ringing Tone
You can select one of three ringing tones.
1. From your Feature Phone, press the PROGRAM key
2. Press the Scroll Down key ( ) until "Ringing Options" is displayed.
3. Select "Ringing Options".
4. Select "Tone 1", "Tone 2" or "Tone 3". The selected tone will sound.
Select "Confirm" to use the chosen tone. On the display, "Ring Type Set" will appear and then the display
will revert to the Idle Menu.
