Check Tray 1 for damage to the pick arm lift bellcrank
activation tabs on the rear of the tray.
Is there any damage to the tray?

Check the following parts for damaged, loose, or
missing parts.
• Pick arm lift bellcrank
• Bellcrank lift spring
• Tray interlock bellcrank
Are any of the parts broken, loose, or missing?

Verify the autocompensator is not stuck in the up
position (tires or hub caught on the deflector gate)

Can you remove Tray 1 from the printer?

Open the lower jam access door, carefully lift the
autocompensator assembly until it is in its uppermost
position, and carefully try to remove tray 1.
Can you remove Tray 1?

Check Tray 1 for damage to the pick arm lift bellcrank
activation tabs on the rear of the tray.
Is there damage to the tray?

Check for loose or broken parts on the
autocompensator assembly.
Are there loose or broken parts?

Check the following parts for any signs of damaged or
broken parts.
• Pick arm lift bellcrank
• Pick arm bellcrank lift spring
