Using
the Active
A/V Network
Feature
(cont.)
using
the quick
program
button
(QUICK
PROGI_kAM)
When you press QUICK PROGRAM
to begin programming
your
VCR:
• Active AN Network
will turn on your VCR and bring it to the
"Program
to Record" screen.
(If the VCR's clock has not been
set, you will see the "Set the clock" screen. See your VCR's
Owner's
Guide for information
about setting
the clock.)
• Active AN Network
will turn on your TV (if it is off), and switch
the TV to INPUT-1.
You can program
your VCR by pointing
your remote
control
at
the TV.
You must press
QUICK PROGRAM
to end programming
your VCR; when you do so:
• Active ._JV Network
will turn off your VCR (unless
a tape is
currently
playing
or recording),
if your .TV has been set to
"Active".
• Active AN Network
will return
your TV to the channel
it was
on before,
or turn it off (if it was off originally).

the PLAY button
(AUTO PLAY)
When you press
PLAY on the remote:
• Active A/V Network
will turn your VCR on and begin playing
the tape (if any).
• Active A/V Network
will turn your _¢ on and swiitch it to
INPUT-1.
When you turn your TV off:
• If your TV has been set to "Active," your VCR wi]] turn off,
unless
it is playing
or recording.

the PIP button
(SIMUIATED
TWO TUNER
:PIP)
You must be watching
a broadcast
channel
on Antenna.-A
or
Antenna-B
to use the Active A/V Network
PIP function
correctly.
When you press the PIP button
on the remote
to bring up a PIP
image:
• Your VCR will automatically
turn
on.
• You can see the VCR's pic,ture in the small PIP image.
