Using
the remote
control
to operate
cable
boxes
and other
brands
of VCRs
operating
Mitsubishi
components
This TV's remote
control has four "layers": the TV layer, the VCR-A
layer, the VCR-B layer, and the CABLE layer. Each layer can be
used to operate
a different
component
in your A/V system.
You
select the layer you want to use by pressing
one of the "select"
buttons
across the top of the remote
control. The TV layer is
programmed
to operate
your Mitsubishi
TV, and tile VCR-A and
VCR-B layers
are prog:cammed
to operate
Mitsubishi
VCRs.
The following
buttons
are available
when using
this TV set.

• super quick view button
• quick view button
• volume control
• input button
• channel
control
• enter button
• audio and video controls

• cancel button

• home button
• off-timer

buttons
• PIP controls
• PLAY button

VCRs
If you have a cable box or a VCR t_om another
manufacturer,
you
can "set-up"
the remote
control to operate
these
components.
The
VCR-A layer, VCR-B layer, and CABLE layer can each be set-up to
operate
a VCR or a cable box.

Turn off your VCR.
Press one of the select buttons
across the top of the remote
to
choose the layer you want to set up: VCR-A, VCR-B, or CABLE.

While holding
in the POWER button
on the remote
control,
enter the code number
listed in the chart on the following page
for your brand
of VCR. Be sure to enter both digits of the code
number.
If more than one number
is listed, try the first one.
Release the POWER
button
Press the POWER
batton
again. Your VCR should turn on. If
the VCR turns
on, your remote control is now set to operate
your VCR.
