Does the leading edge of the copy paper
pass through the registration rollers?
Does the registration roller clutch (CL1)
operate correctly?
Are the registration rollers worn, deformed,
or dirty?
Are the reataining spring at the ends of the
registration rollers installed correctly?
Is the paper guide wire of the transfer co-
rona assembly installed correctly?
Does the feeder belt move properly?

Action
Continue with step 5.
Check the registration
roller clutch (CL1).
If they are dirty, clean
them with alcohol. If
they are deformed.
Install the springs cor-
rectly.
Check the transfer guide
for foreign matter and
deformation.
Install the wire correctly.
Check the feeder belt,
roller, and pulleys.
Replace the DC control-
ler PCB.
