Wireless Bridge and Repeater Modes

The ProSafe 802.11g Wireless Access Point lets you build large bridged wireless networks or
simply act as a Repeater. For example, the choices are:
Client Access Point to Access Point. This is the default setting for the WG302.
Point-to-Point Bridge. In this mode, the WG302 will communicate ONLY with another
Bridge-mode Wireless Station. You must enter the MAC address (physical address) of the
other Bridge-mode Wireless Station in the field provided. WEP can (and should) be used to
protect this communication (see
Multi-Point Bridge. Select this only if this WG302 is the "Master" for a group of Bridge-
mode Wireless Stations. The other Bridge-mode Wireless Stations must be set to Point-to-
Point Bridge mode, using the MAC address of the WG302. All traffic is then sent to this
"Master", rather than communicating directly with each other. WEP can (and should) be used

Repeater. If selected, the WG302 will operate as a Repeater only, and will send all traffic to
the remote access point. The MAC address (physical address) of the remote AP must be
