REMOVING AND INSTALLING FINAL DRIVE
Removing
Installing
1. Remove transmission.
2. Mount transmission on assembly stand with
Special Tool 9216 and drain final drive oil.
1. Install quantity of shims noted during
removal or shims of redetermined thickness
and bearing assembly on drive pinion.
3. Engage parking lock and remove collar nut
for drive pinion.
4. Remove mounting bolts for bearing
assembly and pull off bearing assembly
(if necessary, use a suitable puller).

A = M 10 x 30 bolt with centering bore
Note:
Use centering pins, Special Tool 9321, and a
locally made pressing in tool to make
installation easier.
