Stopping the engine (03_20)

Release the throttle grip (1)
(Pos. A), brake gradually and at
the same time "downshift" gears
to slow down.
Once the speed is reduced, before
stopping the vehicle:
Operate the clutch lever (2) so
that engine does not shut off.
With the scooter at a standstill:
Set the gear lever in neutral po-
sition (green "N" warning light
lit).
Release the clutch lever.
While at a temporary halt, keep
at least one brake activated.
CAUTION
WHENEVER POSSIBLE,
ROUGH BRAKING, SUDDEN DECEL-
ERATION AND BRAKING IN EXCESS.

Laat het gashandvat los (1)
(Pos.A), activeer geleidelijk de
remmen en "schakel" tegelijker-
tijd terug om snelheid te minde-
ren.
Wanneer men snelheid geminderd
heeft, voert men het volgende uit voor-
dat het voertuig volledig komt stil te
staan:
Activeer de hendel van de kop-
peling (2) zodat de motor niet
stilvalt.
Met het voertuig stil:
Plaats de hendel voor het scha-
kelen in vrij (groene controle-
lamp "N" aan).
Laat de hendel van de koppeling
los.
Tijdens een tijdelijke pauze
moet er minstens één rem ge-
activeerd worden.
AVOID
LET OP
VERMIJD INDIEN
BRUUSK TE STOPPEN,
WACHTS TE VERTRAGEN EN HARD
TE REMMEN.
