Stopping the engine (03_14)

CAUTION
WHENEVER POSSIBLE,
ROUGH BRAKING, SUDDEN DECEL-
ERATION AND BRAKING IN EXCESS.
•
Release the throttle grip (Pos.
A), brake gradually and, at the
same time, "downshift" gears to
slow down.
Once the speed is reduced, before stop-
ping the vehicle:
•
Operate the clutch lever so that
the engine does not shut off.
When the vehicle is at a standstill:

Set the gear lever to neutral
(green warning light on).
•
Release the clutch lever.
•
While at a temporary halt, keep
at least one brake operated.

WACHTS TE VERTRAGEN EN HARD
TE REMMEN.

Laat het gashandvat los (Pos.
A), activeer geleidelijk de rem-
men, en "schakel" tegelijkertijd
terug om snelheid te minderen.
Wanneer men snelheid geminderd heeft,
voert men het volgende uit voordat het
voertuig volledig komt stil te staan:
•
Activeer de hendel van de kop-
peling zodat de motor niet stil-
valt.
Met het voertuig stil:
•
Plaats de hendel voor het scha-
kelen in vrij (groene controle-
lamp aan).
•
Laat de hendel van de koppeling
los.
