Coolant liquid solution is 50% water and
50% antifreeze. This is the ideal mixture
for most operating temperatures and pro-
vides good corrosion protection. It is ad-
visable to use the same mixture even in
hot weather as this minimises loss due to
evaporation and the need of frequent top-
ups. Thus, less evaporated water means
fewer mineral salt deposits in the radia-
tors, which helps preserve the efficiency
of the cooling system. When the external

temperature drops below zero degrees
centigrade, check the cooling system fre-
quently and if necessary add more anti-
freeze solution (up to 60% maximum).
Use distilled water in the coolant mixture
to avoid damaging the engine.

De oplossing van de koelvloeistof be-
staat uit 50% water en 50% antivries. Dit
mengsel is ideaal voor de meeste wer-
kingstemperaturen, en garandeert een
goede bescherming tegen corrosie. Het
is goed om hetzelfde mengsel te gebrui-
ken tijdens het warme seizoen, omdat op
deze manier verlies door verdamping en
het frequent bijvullen wordt vermeden.
Op deze manier verminderen de bezink-
sels van mineraalzouten, die in de radia-
tor door het verdampte water werden
gelaten, en verandert de efficiëntie van
de koelinstallatie niet. Wanneer de bui-
tentemperatuur zich onder het vriespunt
bevindt, moet men het koelcircuit fre-
quent controleren, en voegt men indien
nodig een hogere concentratie antivries
toe (tot een maximum van 60%). Voor de
koeloplossing gebruikt men gedestilleerd
water, om de motor niet te beschadigen.
