Replacing the Imaging Cartridge

The following table illustrates the approximate schedule for the
replacement of Imaging cartridge.

5% of toner coverage.
Caution
• To ensure the proper operation of the printer, use Minolta supplies and
parts only.
The print drum and the toner supply are both contained within the
imaging cartridge. The imaging cartridge is designed to produce at
least 15,000 pages of Letter size prints with approximately 5%
coverage during its working life. The number of pages that are actually
generated through one imaging cartridge is primarily determined by
the amount of toner that is used for generating your documents.

control panel to alert you to when it is almost time to replace the
imaging cartridge. You can still print using the current imaging
cartridge even after these messages are displayed. However, you may
notice a gradual decrease in the density of toner that is used to print
your documents.
Print density can be improved by removing the imaging cartridge
from the printer and shaking it two or three times before reinstalling it
into the printer. This procedure may help to distribute the remaining
toner that is inside of the imaging cartridge. If the toner density does
not improve, replacement of the imaging cartridge is recommended.
