Loading Paper
The following sections describe the procedure for properly feeding
paper and envelopes into the various paper sources of your printer.
Depending upon installed options, it is possible to have up to 6
different paper sources: Tray 1, Tray 2, the 250-sheet paper feed unit
(option), the 500-sheet paper feed unit (option), the 2500 sheet tray
[LCC] (option) and the manual feed (option).
Always remember that paper storage conditions greatly affect print
quality. Store paper in its original package. Keep paper out of areas that
are subject to extreme temperatures or humidity.
Loading Paper onto Tray 1
Tray 1 is designed to hold up to 250 sheets of plain/recycled paper and
support the following paper sizes:
Letter
Legal
Ledger (11"
Executive
A4
A3
A5
JIS B4
JIS B5
Custom (User Set)
Whenever you use custom size paper, be sure to specify the print area
in the printer driver that is installed on your computer. You may notice
some variation in print quality when using custom size paper.
Note
• The paper holding capacity of Tray 1 depends upon the type of paper
that is currently loaded into the tray.
