The following example creates three macros that define
the number "I" key to display your name using the DOS
ECHO command. the "D" key to perform the DOS
DIRECTORY command, and the "C" key to perform the
DOS CHKDSK command.

Note:
Press SHIFT and Fl2 to display the macro
menu.
To create a new macro, press the spacebar
twice so that the [Create] menu option is
highlighted and press ENTER, or you can
simply type "C".
The macro menu is replaced with a window
prompting you to press the key you want t?
define for a macro. In this case. type number
~,I''.
You are now prompted to enter the macro
assignment . Type in the following:
echo Alfred A. Alexander -
Substitute your name for Mr. Alexander's.
The tilde character"-", represents a carriage
return used to invoke the DOS ECHO
command.
On keyboards not having the "tilde"
character"-", press the Fl2-Enter key
combination to obtain the tilde character.
